MAGIC OF A FAIRY TAIL ON CHRISTMAS EVE
our whole flat is filled
with the warm light of the candles
everything is so christmassy
romantic homelike
the steam train on the windowsill
puffs thick wads of smoke
the smell is all over the room
roe deer are jumping across our table
our snowman wears
a red top hat
he is glistening and gleaming
also heavenly music
is not missing
a wind orchestra of angels is playing
sweet sound the silver bells
in this sound mixes the rattle of the pyramid
there are mary and joses
and the child in the manger
the shepherds come with their fold
and the three magi bring them gifts
for us santa claus brings
a christmas goos and a fir tree
before he is pulled away on skis
by his reindeer
at the christmas tree twinkle
ball ornaments and tinsel
beautiful presents lie below
