MY ONLY WISH
There is just one wish I have.
I wish for a wonder,
a small wonder,
but oh so great at the same time.
This one big wish I have
is the most beautiful gift,
born out of love,
a little precious – a wonder.
But whatever I do,
how much I hope,
how much I pray,
my only wish cannot come true.
Some people think it is
the easiest thing in the world.
For me it is like a foreign star,
so far away I could not reach,
whatever I do,
how much I hope,
how much I pray,
I am not able to.
There is just one wish I have,
I wish for a little wonder,
that is oh so great at the same time,
a precious gift born out of love.
