  A wondrous beginning

A WONDROUS BEGINNING

In the wan daylight
white flakes are whirling
like soft wads of cotton wool,
falling gently to the earth,

covering her with mellow silk
so she finds ease,
covering her old wounds,
so they may heal.

It is a special moment,
origin and beginning,
shaking legacy off,
drawing breath again.

Please cover my desire
so I will find peace;
please cover the past
so it can start afresh.
